東京生まれ東京育ち。実家は割烹料理屋という福田さん。コンピューターグラフィックを学んだ後、印刷用色見本をつくる会社に就職。営業企画からデザインまで何でもこなした。子育てを機に会社を辞めて専業主婦となり、刺繍や布バッグを作っていたが、手の腱の手術後リハビリしても繊細な指先を使う作業がやりにくくなった。革バッグづくりに出会ったのはそんなときだった。指先よりも腕や体で作業できて、長く使えて、育つ素材（艶や味が出ることを彼女はそう呼ぶ）に惹かれた。革バッグづくりを初めて8年。すでに2回目のお直しを持ってくる人もいるという。
「お直しや磨き直しにお持ちいただいた商品をお返しするときがとても好きです。お役に立てているんだなと思うと、とても充実した気持ちになります。」
She was born to the parents who run a Japanese restaurant in Tokyo. After studying computer graphics, she worked
for company that produces color samples for printing company and did everything from sales planning to design. She became a housewife after marriage and started making embroidery and cloth
bags. But after hand tendons surgery, It became difficult to use delicate fingertips and rehabilitation didn't go
well. That's when she met the leather bag making. Leather is perfect material for her because she could work with arms and body rather than fingertips and it gives beautiful gloss and taste after long term use. She's been making leather bags for 8 years now and some customers have already brought their bags for second fix. "I like when I return
my bags for the customer after repairing because I can feel their love to my bags and will to use more. I fulfilled."

自宅の一室をアトリエにして制作に取り組む。革バッグ作りの技術は独学で習得した。
Working in an atelier at home. She learned leather bag making by herself.
iD Chokiはスタンダードなクラフトブレードを選択。グリップは左右ともにベージュ。ブレードにはブランド名の Camphoe tree をレーザー刻印。
「二つの刃がサックっと動いて、とても精密に作られてるのががわかります。」
She selected a standard craft blade and beige for grips for her iD Choki. On the blade, brand name Camphoe tree is engraved.

She mainly uses Italian leather with natural tanning.

「普段はナイフで切る工程ですが、このハサミなら切れ味が良いので切断面が斜めにならずまっすぐ切れます。初心者の方にはハサミのほうが気軽でよいですね。」

カットした革に水を吹きかけ硝子板でなめす。こうすることで革に驚くほど艶が出る。
Spray water on the cut leather and lick it with a glass plate. This process gives the leather an amazing gloss.
ロウ引きの麻ひもでひと目ずつしっかりと手縫いする。デザインの時点ですでに縫い穴の数まで決まっている。
Sew firmly one by one with waxed twine. The number of sewing holes are already determined in the design process.
