彼女は樹脂粘土やシルクを使い本物そっくりの果物や草花を作ることができる。その腕を買われ、高級フルーツ店の老舗「京橋千疋屋」のディスプレイを担当している。しかしそれは決して食品サンプルではない。むしろ本物よりもみずみずしく、いきいきとした生命力に満ち、全体としてテーマを持った「アート作品」なのだ。

She can make artificial fruits and flowers that look exactly like the real ones from resin clay and silk. She is responsible for the showcase of the traditional fruit store "Kyobashi-Senbikiya" in Tokyo. They are not just replica food, but "artwork" with much more lively and juicy than real ones.

花といえば生け花が主流であった1971年、ヨーロッパ各国を巡りフラワーデザインを研修。帰国後アトリエを開き、表紙作品などの商業利用の制作依頼に応える一方、海外造花製造メーカーとの技術提携、百貨店での作品販売などを行った。現在は国内各地での講習に加え、薪能や寺院で使用される蓮の制作、博物館のジオラマ制作、映画で使用する作品制作などを行っている。

In 1971, when the traditional Japanese flower arrangement was prevailing, she visited European countries and acquired western flower design.
After returning to home, she opened her atelier and did designs for commercial uses, forming a partnership with an artificial flower manufacturer abroad, selling her artworks at department stores, and so on. Nowadays, she is teaching her art across the country besides making artificial lotuses for Noh play and temples, diorama for museums and artistic productions for movies.

In order to make object look real, you need to know where to emphasize and where to omit.

形ができた作品に筆と手をつかって彩色する。染料は素材に染み込み、油絵具は透明感と共に色を浮き立たせる。

Colored by brushes and fingers. Dye inks soak into materials, and oil paints can emboss the colors with it's transparency.
