ヨーロッパのアンティークパーツに魅了された彼女のアトリエには、パリの蚤の市で集めた貴重なアンティークビーズがストックされていた。意外にも新品のような輝きを放つことに驚くが、手にとるとそれがドレスを飾った華やかな時代に直に触れているような気持ちになる。アクセサリー好きの彼女が作家活動を始めたのは30歳のとき。それまでは自分で身につけるものだけを作っていたが、友人からの制作依頼をきっかけに本格的な作家活動を始めた。様々な素材を組み合わせた独自のデザインは多くのファンを生み、全国のギャラリーやデパートなどで販売するまでになった。
「アンティークパーツを使うときは、その時代に思いを馳せながら作っています。昔のパーツがアクセサリーに生まれ変わって新しいストーリーが始まると思うとワクワクします。」
Precious antique beads collected at the flea market in Paris were stocked In the atelier which is owned by Kaorio Sato who was fascinated by European antique parts. Surprisingly, they shine like brand new and if you take it a hand, it makes you feel like touching directly with the glamorous era in which they decorated the women's dress. At the age of 30 she started artistic activities. Until then she had been making only what she wears, but she started serious activities as an artist after recieving order from her friend. Unique design combining various materials acquired many fans and now she sells in galleries and department stores throughout the country. "When using antique parts, I make a piece with thinking about that era those parts were used. I am thrilled to think that old parts will be reborn into accessories and satrts a new story."

デニムを裂きワイヤーと編んだ薔薇にフランス製リボンとヴィンテージパーツで仕立て合わせた。

プチサイズのポーチたち
クラフトチョキでデニムをカット。「軽くて切れ味がよくてとっても使いやすいです。」
Cut the denim with Craft Choki. "They are light and sharp, very easy to use."
リボン状にカットしたデニム地にワイヤーを絡めて編んでゆく。古着のジーンズがアクセサリーとして生まれ変わる。
Knits the wire and ribbon shape cut denim. Used Jeans are reborn as new accessories.
