羊毛を使った作品を中心に制作。カラフルな糸巻きボタンはワークショップやイベントで大人気。手芸雑誌や書籍にも多くの作品を提供している。

子供の頃から常に何かを作っていたというイワタさん。服飾系の大学を卒業してアパレル商社に就職。留学を経て結婚した後も、店舗販売用や友人から頼まれたバッグなどを作った。羊毛への興味をきっかけに、毛糸を布目から引っ張り上げながら作る「フックドラグ」と出会い、アクセサリーから敷物まで様々な作品を制作。15年前に作り始めた「糸巻きボタン」が話題となり、手芸誌への作品提供、販売、ワークショップ、企業とのコラボレーションなど多方面で活動中。

Ms. Iwata has been always making something since her childhood. After the graduattion from fashion university, she worked for an apparel trading company and studied abroad. Even after getting married, she kept making bags for stores and friends. With the interest in wool, she met "Hooked rug" which is the craft made by pulling up the yarn from the cloth and produce various works from accessories to rugs. Thread Wound Button which she started making 15 years ago became a popular topic among the craft lovers and now she is performing various fields such as making works to handicraft magazines, product sales, workshops, collaboration with companies and so on.

毛糸を布目から引っ張り上げながら作る「フックドラグ」。アクセサリーやバッグから敷物まで様々なものを作ることができる。

Hooked Rug created by pulling up the yarn from the cloth. You can make various things like accessories, bags, and rugs.

アトリエでは相棒の「はと」がお出迎え。手芸本「かわいいどうぶつ刺繍」にはモデルとして登場している。

We were welcomed by her companion Hato who appeared as a model in handicraft book "Cute Animal Embroidery".

キリム補修用の糸はしをトルコから大量に送ってもらったものをつなぎ合わせてブランケットにし、猫ベッドに。
