刺繍作家・講師
母親の影響で幼少より刺繍に親しむ。伝統的な刺繍技法をベースに独自のテクニックを開発し、より親しみやすい刺繍を幅広い世代に伝えている。教室では刺繍の伝統的な技法（ハーダンガー ブラックワーク ドロンワークなど）も習うことができる。

「子供の頃から刺繍が生活の一部でした。どの家庭でもそれが当たり前だと思ったいたので、友達のお家に遊びに行ったときに刺繍道具が無いことに驚いたほどです。」
大人になっても刺繍への情熱は薄れること無く、大学卒業後は伝統的な欧風刺繍を学び、指導者資格を取得した。もっと気軽に刺繍を楽しんで欲しいという想いで開発した「あべまりのビーズ刺繍deブローチ」は書籍になり、刺繍を体験したことのなかった人たちにもその楽しさを広げている。
"Stitchwork has been a part of my life from childhood. I was so surprised there wasn't any embroidery tools in my friend's house
because I believed they were basic goods in every house."
She got more deeply involved with stitchwork as an adult. After college graduation, she learned about traditional European embroidery, and qualified as an instructor.
She published a book titled “Abe Mari's brooches of bead embroidery”, and introduces the fun of embroidery to beginners.
